Ciao! I’m Serena, Italian, 27 years old, daughter of two passionate parents,
sister of 4 beautifully loud brothers, girlfriend of an wonderfully patient and old-fashioned boy, friend of unique people and nephew of tenderly honest grandparents and several different uncles.
I come from a small, and very very quiet village near Trento. I grew up surrounded by fairy-tale places, peacefully atop snowy mountains, from which you can enjoy a breath-taking panorama.
These views, as well as the night sky that I could glimpse from the window in my room, have always inspired in me many unresolvable sensations. These attractive and unreachable feelings which taste of freedom, together with the most important people of my life, have always spurred me to go forward, to try to discover more about the Universe, and, at the same time, about us, human beings in such a big Universe. These impulses have now pushed me to the University of Birmingham where I’m studying different astronomical phenomena within the PhD program, entitled: “Studying neutron-star and black-hole binaries with gravitational waves”.
